my 2nd trip was really relaxed and laidback compared to the first one. reached bali on the 6th in the afternoon, checked in and went out for a walk along kuta. we were drenched in sweat as bali is sUPER hot, settle for authentic indonesian food at gabah restaurant. after that we went to buy krispy kremes! lol. passed out in the hotel (dynasty hotel) after that. our hotel is really nice, we stayed at the ground floor where our verandah opens out to the garden leading to the swiminpool.
we went to hard rock cafe for dinner and the pork ribs and their macaroni are marvellous. but the band sucks to the max and their shop's selection are liike shit. i saw a few nice tops but they don't have size S and the only sizes left are XL. wtf? we bekamuan and went into hard rock hotel to look at the other shop and managed to buy a top there. the band in the hotel is much better, and i really enjoyed it. so we ended up drinkin there. we wanted to stay in hard rock initailly but they din have rooms for 3 nights, only 2 nights. so we din manage to stay there. after seeing their pool, we decided that no matter what we're stayin in hard rock the next trip. they ave 3 tiered pool and seriously it's sooo inviitng. lol
day 2: we overslept and nearly missed breakfast, lol. then we set out for shopping, street shopping to be exact. after spending the whole morning bragainin and sweating we ended up in starbucks. i tell u, the restaurants in bali, no matter how swanky do NOT have air conds. they have the open air concept due to their architecture, and we were dyin for aircond. even when we entered starbucks the aircond was prob at its lowest fan speed, ish.
at night we had dinner in jimbaran, seafood by the sea. a really romantic place, but the food is not that great la. but the concept is nice. we thought we made it for the sunset, but the sun didn't set, it disappeared in the mid-air. sigh. too much clouds i reckon.
after that we went shoppin in kuta square. wanted to get a bikini, but as what tracy said most of the ones i like are huGE! roxy stuff are really meant for aussies. hehee. the roxy, billabong and rip curl are really huge in bali. 3 floors man, their surfing gear already took up one whole floor.
day 3: woke up darn early for dolphin sighting in nusa dua. cost us 40usd per pax after discount. and we nearly din get to see any. we were out in the sea for 1.5hrs and then the guide was apologizing to us that we weren't so lucky this time. we were heading back to the pier after circling like mad everywhere, and i was seriously fallin asleep.. then we saw them! they were swimmin in pods. and the baby is sooooo cute. so damn playful. saw on its back and flipped its fins in water, splashing water everywhere. they jumped in the air as well.
after that went back for lunch at 10 plus. (bali is all about eating and eating and drinking and sleeping = FAT) after that slept until 2 plus. then we had an appointment for spa at 3pm. they picked us up at 3 and we only managed to finish at 9plus at night. we took the 5.5hr package, nearly died there man. u know how spa makes u sleepy and all, imagine ure there for 5.5 hrs???? got my manicure and pedicure done there as well. it wasnt as impressive as i thought it would be, coz from the brochures its rather diff la. but we got a good deal, 50% discount for that package. so instead of 95usd for one, we paid 95usd for 2.
had dinner in the famous made's warung. and the back to the hotel to call it a night. the next mornin we woke up early for our flight back. the end of the trip...
